Designed by Le Corbusier in 1959, Maison du Brésil is a solid oak natural stained 3D stool, with a rectangular side. On the two main sides there are practical oblong openings to help move it and position it either horizontally and vertically. The dovetail joint system on the corners, on the other hand, emphasises Cassina’s skill in working solid wood.
This simple and elegant piece of furniture was designed for the Maison du Brésil in the University City of Paris. The inspiration came from a crate of whisky found abandoned on the beach: the result is a stool made with refined woodworking techniques, an essential seat that also functions as a container.

Dimensions: 33 x 43 x H.25 cm

Structure: Rovere tinto naturale
