Belkıs Balpınar’s curiosity in science and cosmology manifests in her designs through her own visual language. One of the main inspirations of Balpınar is the work of physicist Richard Feynman. Her desire to simplify her paRerns draws on Richard Feynman’s famous learning technique: “If you can’t explain something in simple terms, you don’t understand it.” Referring to various themes, including quantum physics, perception deception, imperception, microcosm- macrocosm, galaxies, and planetary orbits, and strands of DNA, she creates dynamic artworks composed of simple, abstract geometrical forms.
