Inspired by the metallic hues of Olympic medals, Void is a mysterious luminous object that explores the sculptural beauty of a reflective metallic shape. The opaque bulb is hidden inside the lampshade and therefore illuminates but is not seen, thus representing a mysterious light source. The process of creating Void is complex. Cut from a sheet of pure metal, each light is pressed and spun, then braised at the end to form a double-walled shadow. The high-gloss reflectivity achieved by turning, polishing and caring for the base metals is a bold finish that crosses Void.
