A true furniture icon designed by one of the 20th century’s great masters, the Utrecht Armchair by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld is among Cassina’s most recognizable creations. Its design features a distinctive play of geometric repetition, with elements intersecting at right angles to create a bold architectural form.

The outdoor version preserves the identity and proportions of the larger Utrecht XL model, while materials have been carefully selected for durability in open-air settings. The internal metal frame and Okoume wood armrests are enveloped in a water-repellent lining with recycled PET fibre batting, preventing water penetration and ensuring long-lasting comfort and performance.
