Eccentric and provocative, the Traccia coffee table is a reproduction of Meret Oppenheim’s 1939 Surrealist piece “Table with Bird Legs,” reinterpreted with the footprints of an exotic bird on its surface. Part of the Ultramobile Collection commissioned by Dino Gavina for Simon, Traccia features an elliptical top with a shaped edge, adorned with the same bird prints that inspired the iconic cast bronze legs. The top is crafted from 24-carat pure gold leaf, while the underside is treated with gold-coloured pigmented varnish — transforming this work into a true collector’s item.
