An icon of radical design and ergonomic freedom by Gatti, Paolini, and Teodoro for Zanotta.
Designed in 1968, the Sacco armchair redefined the concept of seating with its revolutionary approach. Created by Piero Gatti, Cesare Paolini, and Franco Teodoro for Zanotta, Sacco broke all conventions by introducing a non-rigid structure—a high-strength expanded polystyrene shell filled with polystyrene pellets that mold to the user's shape, offering an adaptable and informal experience.
Celebrated for its innovation and irreverent spirit, Sacco remains a symbol of Italian radical design. In recognition of its enduring relevance, it was awarded the prestigious ADI Compasso d'Oro for Lifetime Achievement in 2020.
This version is upholstered in Vip fabric in a Dark Blue colorway, ideal for modern living spaces, lounges, or creative environments.
Dimensions: 80 x 80 x h 68 cm
Sacco is not just a seat—it's a statement of design freedom and ergonomic creativity that continues to inspire decades later.
