In 1960, the Eames Office was commissioned by Time Inc. to furnish the interiors of the three lobbies at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. Charles and Ray Eames designed the soft Lobby Chairs along with a series of sturdy walnut stools. These stools, which can also serve as tables, each feature a distinct central profile, offering variation while maintaining a cohesive design.
