Roberto Lazzeroni, inspired to merge the worlds of art and design, created the Jorgen chair for Baxter, which follows the minimalist and airy guidelines of the design canon.
The rounded corners and swooping lines evoke a cozy and sophisticated chair that subtly suggests a warm embrace. The seat and backrest have lines that are curving and enveloping, giving the impression that they wish to embrace and encircle the user who is resting on them. Extending from the back of the seat are two folded side components that lend an air of dynamic beauty to the overall design. The brass finishing on the chair's legs adds a striking graphic edge to the piece. Supported by a birch plywood framework, the seat and back cushions feature a density that varies with the pressure applied upon it.
The acrylic fiber upholstery is available in a variety of colours, and the leather stitching has a distinctive contour that lends an impression of preening sophistication to the chair.
