The Wishbone Chair is perhaps Wegner’s most famous work. A light, attractive, and comfortable dining chair with a distinctive Y-shaped backrest, it is a triumph of craftsmanship with a simple design and clean lines. Despite its seemingly simple appearance, creating one chair involves more than 100 steps. The hand-woven seat alone uses over 120 metres of paper rope. Available in Danish hardwoods (oak, beech, ash) and North American hardwoods (walnut, cherry) with a variety of finishes including soap, oil, lacquer, and stain. An optional cushion can be added to the seat for extra comfort.
