A marble table system as the culmination of research into interlocking furniture with no joints or clamps: for the ‘Eros’ tables, the construction solution involves a gravity joint between top and leg, achieved thanks to the truncated cone section of the leg that easily accommodates the top, locking it in the set position, while the weight of the material increases the robustness of the joint and the stability of the entire structure. A system designed in many different shapes and sizes, each with a unique interlocking point, and where the elegant design of the open slots on the perimeters and at the corners of the planes is determined by the elimination of the most fragile parts that would not have withstood the stress: a sophisticated detail and the key to a true constructive invention.
