In 1960, the Eames Office was commissioned by Time Inc. to furnish the interiors of their three lobbies at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. Charles and Ray Eames created for this project the soft Lobby Chairs and a series of sturdy walnut stools. These stools, which can be used as tables, differ from each other in the central part, presenting different profiles.
