Tabouret Nantes Rezè is an open-grain lacquered oak stool, with the faces featuring two colours from Le Corbusier’s palette: ultramarine blue and brown. The handle is simplified with a rectangular, non-rounded hole to help move the object. The dovetail joint system on the corners, on the other hand, emphasises Cassina’s skill in working solid wood.
This furnishing accessory accompanies the famous model designed in 1952 for the famous Cabanon, Lecò’s Côte d’Azur retreat. The inspiration came from a crate of whisky found abandoned on the beach: the result is an essential seat, a stool made with refined woodworking techniques.
Dimension: 33 x 43 x H.27 cm
Structure: Rovere laccato marrone/azzurro
