Tulip is a family of floor lamps consisting of male, female, and child-size editions (the latter can also be used as a desk lamp) that translate v-autoban’s penchant for a cage-like repetition of metal rods into lighting made of brass. Brass has strong associations with historic Turkish residential spaces and it is often considered an old-fashioned material. With Tulip lamps, crowned with a simple modern lampshade, v-autoban gave brass a contemporary form, while creating a functional lighting unit.
