Ultrafragola is a mirror/lamp designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr for the brand Poltronova. Protagonist of vintage, contemporary design and certainly also of the future. Today Ultrafragola is presented with an innovative lighting system, in step with today's technology.
A unique piece of design first produced in 1970. The architect was inspired by the sinuous silhouette of a wavy female hair, then transformed into an element to be exhibited in your living room, bathroom, or even in a luxury store, spa or lobby. Designed for the collection of “Mobili Grigi”, Ultrafragola is the only element of that series that has remained continuously in production for Poltronova from the '70 to today.
The frame of Ultrafragola, which encloses the mirror, is thermoformed in translucent opal plastic material that emits a pink light, the lighting is supported by a double strip of 4+4 meters of RGB Led (120Led/m) enclosed in a profile in opaline Pmma specially created for the mirror Ultrafragola so that the light is diffused at 360 º.
