Graduate is a suspended bookcase designed by Jean Nouvel for Molteni&C, conceived as a refined architectural composition that appears to float effortlessly in space. Metal uprights, marked by graduated notches set at varying heights, are anchored to a wall-mounted support surface. The shelves align with these notches and are held in place by discreet, invisible hooks.

The structure and shelves are finished in anodized aluminum with a plywood profile, enhancing both strength and visual lightness. Graduate transforms the living space into a composition of solids and voids, where balance, rhythm, and proportion create an elegant dialogue between air and matter.

Its minimalist purity is enriched by the illusion of suspension, making Graduate not just a bookcase, but a sculptural presence defined by harmony and lightness.
