Every construction detail of the Tessa armchair is a clue to the great complexity behind its apparent simplicity. The kind of simplicity that comes from the ingenuity and craftsmanship inherent in the product concept itself.

The structure is made entirely of solid ash or turned Canaletto walnut. Traditional joinery requires expert craftsmanship and delicately enhances the natural texture and feel of the wood. An ancient art that goes back to the Italian peasant tradition, the delicate but strong paper reed rope woven into the seat and backrest is also finely handcrafted. Optional soft cushions held in place by thin straps add a deeper sense of welcome to the Tessa armchair.
