Designed in 1977 by Mario Bellini, who gained international fame with this iconic chair, Cab is the world’s first self-supporting leather design chair. Inspired by the direct relationship between skeleton and leather, it exemplifies manufacturing excellence, requiring multiple stages of skilled craftsmanship to create a cult object with a sartorial touch. Capable of defining a decade, Cab remains a benchmark for successful chair design. Available without armrests or as an armchair, it features a tubular steel frame fully upholstered in leather. The upholstery comprises 21 leather pieces, die-cut individually and subjected to 22 manual processing phases before being fitted over the steel skeleton and finished with zips, like a tailor-made suit. Cab comes in a wide variety of colours.
